What is a builder consultation?

A builder consultation - sometimes referred to as a Joint Home Visit - involves one of our in-house builders consulting with a prescribing Occupational Therapist and client or participant about the home modifications solution being designed. This is commonly required where the proposed home modifications are large or complex.

Builder consultations are important, not only to ensure the feasibility of the modification designs, but also to ensure all work complies with relevant laws and regulations. This includes building codes and Australian Standards, which regulate home modifications.

Our consulting builders have extensive expertise in the building and construction process, particularly within the Aged Care and Disability space.

NDIS Home Modification Quotes

Participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) looking to have home modifications are generally required to provide a quote from a licenced, NDIS registered builder prior to works commencing. In cases where modifications will exceed $15,000, two quotes are required.

As a registered provider to the NDIS we are able to provide first or second quotes that meet the required level of detail for submission to the NDIS.
